Supporting students’ social growth should never come at the expense of who they are. Join Everyday Speech for a practical session on teaching social and communication skills through a neurodiversity-affirming lens.
Learn how to help students build authentic relationships and navigate social situations in ways that support identity, autonomy, and well-being.
In this free webinar, you will learn:
Affirming Video Modeling: How to use video modeling to highlight options and personal preferences rather than one “correct” behavior.
Reframing Social Skills: Ways to teach social learning as tools for expression, safety, and connection instead of compliance.
Supporting Authentic Expression: How to help students understand what feels right for them in social interactions while avoiding practices that pressure them to mask or suppress identity.
Walk away with ready-to-use strategies, classroom examples, free materials you can use right away, and a clearer approach to teaching social skills that empowers students, not pressures them to fit in.
