Lesson Unit and CASEL Competency Overviews

Our lesson units align with the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) SEL framework which outlines the following 5 core competencies or learning areas that promote student academic success, school and civic engagement, health and wellness, and fulfilling careers. 

Self-Awareness

This training video introduces educators to the first CASEL competency and Everyday Speech’s first SEL unit, Self-Awareness. Educators are provided with an explanation of the competency, an overview of the unit, and several tips for successful teaching and implementation.

Self-Management

The second CASEL competency and unit in our curriculum is Self-Management. This video provides an explanation of the competency, an overview of the unit, and several tips for successful teaching and implementation. 

Social Awareness
