About the presenters

Jess Anderson, Ed.S., is a Senior Curriculum Specialist at Everyday Speech, where she develops research-based resources that empower students of all abilities to thrive in social-emotional learning and communication. With nearly a decade of experience as a school psychologist, Jess has dedicated her career to supporting students’ mental health and social-emotional development. Her approach is grounded in neurodiverse-affirming practices and practical strategies that make life easier for educators while fostering growth, inclusion, and success for every student.

Duncan C. Meyers, Ph.D. is the Head of Research and Implementation at Everyday Speech. In his position he plays a critical role in driving the research and implementation efforts for the curriculum, strengthening its evidence-base, and providing support to educators around measurement and implementation science.
Prior to joining Everyday Speech, Duncan was a researcher at CASEL for 12 years, leading national and district-level research efforts, evaluating professional learning, and overseeing the review process and updates to the CASEL Guide to Effective SEL Programs. He also served as a consultant for communities across the country that partnered with CASEL on large-scale SEL implementation, providing expertise in measurement, implementation science, and facilitating learning networks to drive continuous improvement.
